MUSLIM FACE OF SMAJWADI PARTY IS GUILTY OF TREASON
By Shyam Khosla
Mohammed Azam Khan, the Muslim face of Samajwadi Party, has triggered a political storm by describing J&K a disputed territory and questioning state’s integration with the rest of India. He further compounded his crime by stating that Ghulam Nabi Azad, “who is not from India but from Kashmir”, was the only Cabinet Minister in the UPA Government. He made these outrageous remarks at a recent public meeting in Badaun (U.P) during which he claimed that he didn’t …

SIT’S STATUS REPORTS, FORMER AIDE NAILED HER
9.11.2010
By Shyam Khosla
Teesta Setelvad, the notorious anti-Hindu propagandist masquerading as a human rights activist, has at long last been trapped in the web she relentlessly spun to malign the Hindu society and the popular Gujarat Chief Minister, Narendra Modi. Her cash-rich NGO ‘Citizens for Justice and Peace’ (CJP), had manufactured countless affidavits on behalf of victims and “witnesses” of the post-Godhra riots to carry forward its vicious campaign that demonized Gujarat, insulted the state judiciary and persuaded higher courts to transfer riots-related cases outside …

While there is no visible sign of normalcy returning to the valley, Delhi is emerging as a battle ground between Kashmiri separatists supported by human rights outfits of doubtful integrity and Kashmiri Hindus committed to Indian nationalism and total integration of J&K with the rest of the country. S.A.R Geelani, a lecturer who was prosecuted for his involvement in Parliament attack conspiracy and the first thing he said after his release was that he would continue to fight for the “cause”, led the night-long sit-in at Jantar Mantar …

No one interested in peace and normalcy in Kashmir valley would oppose dialogue with alienated sections of the society to understand their “genuine grievances” and to regain their trust. However, talking to citizens that are victims of circumstances created by others, including countries inimical to India, is one thing and blinking before secessionists whose agenda is to dismember the country is quite another. That is why antics of Sitaram Yachuri (CPM), Gurudas Gupta (CPI) and Ram Vilas Paswan (LJP) have outraged the nation. They went beyond their mandate …

MEDIA NEEDS CREDIBLE & EFFECTIVE SELF-REGULATION
By Shyam Khosla
Press Council of India’s credibility has been grievously undermined by its opaque handling of the paid news syndrome. The manner in which the PCI killed the exhaustive report submitted by its sub committee, getting a fresh one from a drafting committee and then deciding not to affix the original report as an annexure to the final hugely diluted report, has raised several disturbing questions. Was this statutory quasi-judicial body established to cleanse the media of its infirmities or is it meant to protect …

Tragedy of Bhopal is too deep for tears. Some 20,000 perished and many more continue to suffer from ailments traced to the 1984 gas leak from the Bhopal-based Union Carbide factory. Bhopal sits over huge quantities of toxic waste in the abandoned factory that is seeping into the city’s groundwater like slow poison. Least the Government should do without further delay is to ask Dow Chemicals – that took over the factory from the UC and claim that it has purchased assets of the UC, not its liabilities …

Husain claims that he paints Hindu Gods in nude because nudity stands for purity. Let him then paint Muslim icons in nude. He would never dare to utter a word or draw a caricature that may even remotely hurt Muslim sentiments as he is well aware of the dire consequences that would visit him if he does so. His abandoning India is good riddance for peace loving Indians and not a national shame as the “liberal” crowd would like us to believe. Let him enjoy the “freedom” and …

Emergence of a rival family
By Shyam Khosla
Do Andhra incidents show that Congress is a disciplined party? The answer is a resounding no. These prove, if any proof is needed, that the internal democracy, about which Rahul Gandhi is making noises, is not the norm in the Congress. These developments show the top leadership is not comfortable with anyone from outside the dynasty getting too big and is determined to demonstrate who the boss is. The message is loud and clear: Dynastic succession is alright for Nehru-Gandhi family, but not for …

CANARDS spread by Islamists and separatists accusing the Army of human rights violations provoked most of the street protests and violence, including destruction of public and private property, in the Kashmir Valley in recent years. Their purpose is to keep the separatist sentiment alive and to demoralise the security forces combating terror in one of the most troubled areas in the country. They succeeded in their evil designs to a great extent because their allegations, largely baseless, as we will presently see, were accepted as gospel truth by …

Dr Singh Taken For A Ride
By Shyam Khosla
Flush with the glory that he was the only non-dynasty person to be re-elected Prime Minister, Dr Manmohan Singh has done in haste that he is regretting at leisure. The latest in the series of his ingrained habit of dancing to the American foreign policy tunes is the joint Indo-Pak statement issued at the Egyptian city of Sharm el-Sheikh on the sidelines of NAM summit. It is nothing if not capitulation by the “strongest” (What else, since he strongly resents being called the …
