PARTY EXPOSED IN MEGA SCAMS & BATTERED IN POLLS
By Shyam Khosla
Rahul Gandhi – the hit-and-run Guerilla – acutely embarrassed the nation and threw the Congress party into utter confusion by telling the United State of America that Hindu radical groups were “more dangerous” for the country than the Indian Muslim support for Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) – the banned terrorist outfit – and cross-border terrorism. The whistle-blower website, WikiLeaks, revealed that the dynasty’s heir-apparent made this reprehensible statement in a conversation with the U S Ambassador Timothy Roemer on July 20, 2009 …

HINDU BAITING, FISHING MUSLIM VOTES IS PARTY STRATEGY
By Shyam Khosla
No one should take Congress General Secretary, Digvijay Singh’s hugely controversial and embarrassing conspiracy theories as off the cuff remarks of a frustrated politician. His proximity to Sonia Gandhi and the Congress party’s flip flop on his disgusting outbursts are good enough reasons to take this congenital liar seriously.  This column has more than once pointed out that he is an unofficial spokesman of the Congress President Sonia Gandhi and the “crown prince” Rahul Gandhi’s mentor. His ridiculous and scandalous statements …

A 100-odd educated middle class ladies belonging to BJP Mahila Morcha held a half an hour non-violent demonstration at the Delhi residence of the controversial social activist Arundhati Roy. Her husband, Pradip Krishen, later complained to the police that the demonstrators broke a few flower pots kept outside the house and dispersed before the arrival of the police. Arif Mohammed Khan, a noted thinker, author and former Union Minister, had an informal interaction with 50 plus intellectuals belonging to the Muslim community at Jaipur the day after the Ayodhya verdict. His view that Allahabad High Court judgment was a product of judicial wisdom that could pave the way for the resolution of an extremely sensitive issue and, therefore, must be accepted was broadly agreed to by the participants. They were greatly relieved that the verdict, though not entirely acceptable, had averted a possible catastrophe. There was …

21.9.2010
By Shyam Khosla
Not long ago, the curiosity of the resident editor of a tabloid was ignited by addresses of certain companies on the letterbox outside the residence of the then Chief Justice of India. Discreet enquiries conducted by her revealed that the registered offices of certain companies were indeed the official residence of the CJI. A visit to the website of the Ministry of Corporate Affairs showed that one of these companies had become richer by millions of rupees in a short span of time. The tabloid investigated the story …

SENSATIONAL REVELATIONS BY COPS OPEN A CAN OF WORMS
By Shyam Khosla
Two senior IPS officers, one in service and the other recently retired, have accused the Central Bureau of Investigation of concocting evidence and putting pressure on senior police officers, including them, to give false evidence against other police officers and the former MOS for Home, Amit Shah. Further, CBI was spreading canards about them and their families through selective leaks to media. Sensational revelations made by these police officers and Amit Shah have opened a can of worms that has …

Will Muslims seize the moment for national reconciliation?
By Shyam Khosla
While the RSS, the BJP and the VHP responded to the judgement with extreme restraint despite their strong reservations on certain aspects of the verdict, those who had been lecturing Hindu organisations on the need to respect judiciary went on a rampage denouncing the judgement. Communists, fellow travellers and practitioners of vote bank politics made provocative statements to incite Muslims. They dismissed the verdict as “skewed” that was based on faith and not law.

INDIA’S EMERGENCE AS A GLOBAL POWER
By Shyam Khosla
Countless fault-lines have prevented India from growing to its potential during the past six decades and more. Absence of robust political leadership, lack of vision to evolve a genuine Indian paradigm of development in tune with our genius and needs of modern times; absence of political consensus over a long-term strategy to fight separatist elements, Maoist violence and Islamist terror; intellectual disdain for our civilizational and cultural values and ethos; distorted version of secularism and pervasive corruption in all walks of life are …

SEPARATISTS INVENT ISSUE TO PROVOKE STREET BATTLES
By Shyam Khosla
A false sense of relief in Government circles and the civil society  that normalcy was fast returning to J&K has been shattered by street violence in the valley during the month of June against perceived“excesses” by the police and security forces. This is not the first time that the valley is on the boil during tourist season. In the year 2008, the separatists brought the valley to the brink of a disaster by raising the bogey of so-called transfer of 100 acres to …

Caste-based Census is a raging controversy in public domain – in the media, in political circles, in Parliament, tea houses and in drawing rooms – for good reason. Opinions are sharply divided over this sensitive issue.  Most regional parties – DMK, SP, RJD, JD (U) – are for it and have been building pressure on the Government to include a caste column in the Census operation 2011. Their argument is that caste is a reality and can’t be ignored. Sharad Yadav argues that caste is a political tool …
